Competitive Tennis

INTERNAL
The two main events in our club are The Championships (August) and The Handicaps (March). We also host many competitions throughout the year catering for all levels of tennis. Always competitive but great fun, if you haven’t played in one before look out for the next event in your newsletter. If you’re looking for regular competitive games, why not join the club ladder? It’s a great way to meet new people and keep your game sharp.

EXTERNAL
Wicklow Tennis Club participates in the DLTC leagues from Class 2 and below. Check out the pennants in the hallway to see our victories to date! Ladies, mens and mixed teams enter the Senior League (September), Winter League (January) , Summer League (May), Mixed League (July) and Floodlit League (October). In order to participate on a league team, you must be on the club ladder and regularly play practice matches. Expression of interest emails are sent out before league matches, round robins are usually played or ladder challenges made and then the teams are selected by the match committees.

Get your entries in by Friday 8th July. League runs from Sunday 4th September to Sunday 23rd October.

First time entering a DLTC league? Great! You’ll need to sign up for a PIN number in order to play for the club.

To enter any of our internal competitions or if you are playing in any external opens, you need a TI PIN.
