We are delighted to launch our Summer Programme 2024. The three Junior Supervisors this summer are Amy Kavanagh (lead supervisor), Matthew Porter and Oisín Lord.
Registration and Payment
Each child must be registered and their activity paid for in advance. You may book and pay the night before or you may book and pay on a Sunday night (by 9.00pm) for the week ahead. Please note, similar to all Stripe transactions there is a small processing fee. This method of registration and payment ensures that the supervisors can give their full attention to the children as soon as they arrive.
IMPORTANT NOTE
There is no drop in or pay as you go option so please do not put your child or the supervisors in an awkward position, your co-operation in registering ahead is important and will ensure the smooth running of the programme.

TEENAGE ACTIVITIES
Each week there will be Teenage specific activitIes and these will be advertised by email. Teenagers should keep an eye on the courts too as there will be afternoons when they are freed up and can be booked for free play. Parents, register your contact number if your teen is interested in being kept up to date with these specific activities (if you have already registered there is no need to do again).

HOUSEKEEPING
Staying at the Club
Children may not leave the tennis club grounds without permission from a parent/guardian in writing or by telephone to the clubhouse 0404 68666. Please do not ask the supervisors for their personal numbers any contct with the club is via the above number only.
Mobile Phones
During the summer programme, children are not permitted to use mobile phones. If they bring their phones to the club, they are asked to hand them over to the supervisors for safekeeping in the office. There is no necessity for them to carry their phone, parents can contact the club, or their child can use the club phone to call home if needed.
Tuck Shop
A tuck shop will be open twice a day. There will be no fizzy drinks available to purchase, however there will be cordial which will be free of charge. The children are encouraged to bring their own packed lunch if staying at the club for several hours.
Under 9’s
For reasons of child safety, the Committee strongly recommends that children aged 8 and under should not be left at the club without adult supervision. Parents/minders are welcome to go into the clubhouse and have a tea/coffee, do some work on a laptop etc. This does not apply to children attending John Brady’s camps.
Drop off and collection times
There will be no supervision outside of the hours 10.30am and 4.30pm.
Bins
There are bins on each of the courts, in the clubhouse, beside the outdoor area and in the car park, there is no excuse for any rubbish to be found anywhere on the courts or surrounding areas.
Chewing Gum
Chewing Gum is strictly prohibited both on and off the courts.
Tennis Balls
Tennis balls will be provided for the organised Fun Tennis programmes. Outside of this, all children are required to bring their own tennis balls, clearly marked, to the club each day.
Marking of Items
Parents are reminded to mark all items of clothing and accessories to include water bottles, lunch boxes, racket covers, rackets, hoodies etc it makes it so much easier for us to return items to the children when they can be identified.
Caring for furniture
Furniture should be treated the same way as it is at home, with respect.
Wifi
The children will not be given the Wifi password if they request it, they are at the club primarily to play tennis but they can also avail of table tennis, pool, cards, board games etc
Car Park
The car park is out of bounds from 10.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. This is to ensure safety for all children at all times. Please allow time to park and walk to the club if you need to accompany your child. Exception – Coaches, Junior Supervisor and admin.
Weather
Please ensure your child/children wear the appropriate clothing to the club whether it is a wet day or a hot sunny day.
Bank Holiday – Monday 5th August
There are no activities on this day.
Junior Championships
The Wicklow Montessori Primary School championships will run from Tuesday 6th August to Sunday 11th August inc. This week there will be no activities for the 8 plus as all courts will be needed for the championship games and we hope that the majority of the children will be participating in the tournament too. We will have an Under 8’s boy’s and girls round robins during this week too. More information will be circulated nearer the time.
Medical Notes
If your child/children has/have any medical conditions that the Supervisors need to be made aware of please download this form, complete it and return it to the office.
We hope the children enjoy their time at the club over the next 8 weeks.
Kind regards,
