Wicklow Montessori Primary School Junior Club Championships 2024

The Wicklow Montessori Primary School Junior Club Championships takes place from Tuesday 6th to Sunday 11th August inc. Children must be available to play at all times during the week as well as on finals day on Sunday 11th August, should they be successful to reach finals in any event (exception the Under 8 and Under 9 round robins). We are aware that the Rugby camp and Opens are on the same week, we can only accommodate one day of unavailability Monday to Saturday, you must be available on the Sunday or concede at match point if not.

If your child wishes to compete, please fill out the form below. Children must have been of relevant age on 31/12/2023. Competitors may only enter their own age group. We are really encouraging doubles play so if your child needs a partner please write ‘seeking partner’ in relevant box.

Competitors may enter a maximum of 3 events during this week. Where numbers allow in the singles events, children will enter a plate event if they are to lose their singles match in the first round, guaranteeing at least 2 matches.

Entry is €4 per event or €10 for 3 events.

Matches will take place between the hours of 10.30am-4:30pm.

Children must arrive and report for their game, 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled match time.

Children must provide their own tennis balls (exception – the U8 and U9 round robin events) and finals day.
The U8 Round robin – Red Ball – will run on Wednesday August 7th from 11.00am -1:30pm.
The U9 Round robin – Orange Ball – will run on Thursday August 8th from 11.00am -1:30pm.

The U10’s Singles will be using green balls.

Entry for the Championships will close on Tuesday 30th July at 6pm.
