23rd Septenber
For any on you passing the club you wil see there is not a spec of green left!. The lights are all up now, fencing going up over weekend and the new carpet will start to be laid on Monday 3rd October. Other works going on too; all the manhole covers around the club are being replaced, the wall parallel to court 5&6 on the cul de sac has been repointed and the wooden fence beside court six is being replaced with a wall too in conjunction with the owner of the property. The cobblelocking inside the railings on the road side are being stripped and cleaned with the existing sporadic settlement being evenly sloped (currently excessively humped in areas). Four new planter beds will be created equally spaced along the cobblelocking. The existing wall will be lowered by one block and capped with pressure treated D rail with a rounded profile to provide further seating. Over near the pedestrian entrance the existing sloped tar macadam and concrete steps are to be removed and replaced wiht platform steps with a shallower rise than at present.
The driveway entrance has been widened slightly too and the sand for the courts has arrived today. All in all plenty of action.

5th October – the new court surface has arrived.  It is rolled up in black plastic.  Court  five and six will be first to be done.  Support posts for the new scoreboards are being put in place today and the landscaping is completed now and looks lovely, a real lift  not only to the club grounds but also for all the community to enjoy.  Outside sockets are also installed and lots of wiring going on too.

2oth October – The work on the courts is complete except for the scoreboards which will go on next week.  The driveway and carpark will be re surfaced and the gates reinstated with new access readers (no change to cards).CCTV has been installed, 2 internal and 2 external cameras.  Inside the main hall has new lighting and the floors will be sanded and revarnished along with fresh painting, new curtains and the installment of a lovely new gas fire. The corridor and washroos will also be painted.
