Junior Graded Tournament

The Junior Supervisors will be running a graded tournament week 28th July to 1st August.  This tournament is an ideal opportunity for children to warm up for the Junior Club Championships in August, who may be missing for the Club Championships or who may want to dip their toes into their first tournament.
Each participant will be awarded a handicap by the supervisors to ensure fairness and inclusivity for all players.

There are 2 categories and the children may enter a maximum of 2 events:
Singles – this may be a mixed singles depending on gender entry in each age category
Doubles – this can be same gender or mixed – player’s choose their partner or the junior supervisors will assisgn one for them, subject to one being available (type ‘seeking partner’ in the box for ‘Partner’s Name’.

Players must enter their correct age category (age on 31/12/2024).  They may only enter up one age category in the doubles if their doubles partner is of the older age group.

U18’s can only play mixed doubles to allow for variation in strength between boys and girls.

The Age categories are:

• U10
• U12
• U14
• U18

Categories may change depending on numbers. Children will be down for the day from 10.30am and if there are sufficient entries there will be a compass draw or round robins to ensure players get an optimum number of games.

Please Note: Under 10’s singles and doubles on Monday 28th July, Under 12’s singles on Tuesday 29th July, Under 12’s doubles on Wednesday 30th July, under 14’s and under 18’s singles on Thursday 31st July and under 14’s and under 18s doubles on Friday 1st August

€5 for one event
€8 for two events

Times
Matches will be scheduled from 10.30am and finish time will depend on the entry for each category

Fun Tennis for ages 4 to 6 will continue during this week.
