Junior Graded Tournament
The Junior Superviors will be running a graded tournament week 22nd to 26th July. This tournament is an ideal opportunity for children to warm up for the Junior Club Championships in August, who may be missing for the Club Championships or who may want to dip their toes into their first tournament.
Each participant will be awarded a handicap by the supervisors to ensure fairness and inclusivity for all players.
There are 2 cateogories and the children may enter a maximum of 2 events:
Singles – this may be a mixed singles depending on gender entry in each age category
Doubles – this can be same gender or mixed – player’s choose their partner or the junior supervisors will assisgn one for them, subject to one being available (type ‘seeking partner’ in the box for ‘Partner’s Name’.
The Age categories are:
- U10
- U12
- U14
- U18
Entry Fee
€5 for one event
€8 for two events
Times
Matches will be scheduled between 10.30am and 4.30pm each day.
Unavailability
Due to time constraints of what will be a very tight schedule, please do not enter your child if they have more than one morning/afternoon of unavailability.
Players will be guaranteed at least two matches in each event they enter.
Finalists will be awareded prizes at the prizegiving ceremony on Junior Championship Finals Day on Sunday August 11th.
Fun Tennis for ages 4 to 6 will continue during this week plus a daily activity for under 10’s not participating in the tournament. This wll be just a one hour session and children must be registered the night before as per the usual day/week registration form.
